12/21/25 - The Miracle Gift of Jesus

December 21, 2025

In this Sunday morning service, the church celebrates the joy of the season through Scripture, children’s worship, and a message centered on the greatest gift of all, Jesus Christ. The morning includes reminders that the holidays can bring both joy and sorrow, and the congregation lifts up members and families facing illness, loss, and hardship.

During children’s worship, the kids hear the Christmas story from Luke, focusing on the angels’ announcement of “good news of great joy” and the shepherds’ response. The church sings familiar Christmas hymns that reinforce the theme of peace on earth and salvation through Christ.

Alan’s sermon is built on Luke 1:26–38, the angel Gabriel’s announcement to Mary. He explores the miracle of the virgin birth and asks a provocative question: how do you stop a God-miracle from happening? His answer is clear. You can’t. Alan explains that miracles are supernatural, beyond human control, and this miracle gift is unlike any other because it changed the world forever.
