11/2/25 - The Potter’s Clay
In this Sunday morning message, Alan teaches from Jeremiah 18:1–6, where God uses the image of a potter shaping clay to show how He forms, corrects, and remakes His people. The lesson highlights that the clay doesn’t get to negotiate the process. It yields. And in the same way, God calls believers to trust His hands, even when life feels messy, interrupted, or unfinished.
Alan emphasizes a simple, challenging idea: God calls us to serve as-is, where-is. Not after we “get it together,” not after the schedule clears up, and not after we feel more qualified. God shapes willing hearts in real time, using the current season, current struggles, and current opportunities to grow faith and usefulness in His kingdom.
The sermon encourages the church to stay soft in God’s hands, respond to His correction with humility, and allow Him to reshape attitudes, priorities, and purpose. When we submit to the Potter, we become more like Christ and more ready to serve others with honor.
