11/23/25 - Serve with Honor: Rewards of Servants

November 23, 2025

Alan closes the “Serve with Honor” series with a message about rewards and accountability in Christian service. He acknowledges that people naturally enjoy recognition and reward, but reminds the church that the ultimate reward is not earthly praise. The greatest reward is being with God in heaven, seeing Jesus, and sharing in the joy of eternity.

Using Revelation 20:11–15, Alan emphasizes that every person will ultimately stand before God, and that judgment includes accountability for what we have done with the lives and gifts God has entrusted to us. He then teaches from Matthew 25:14–30, the parable of the talents, explaining that God gives gifts according to each person’s ability and expects His servants to use those gifts faithfully. The lesson warns against burying our gifts through fear, excuses, or spiritual complacency, and calls believers to live up to what God has entrusted to them.
