9/21/25 - Spiritual Battles: Equipped Feet of Peace
In this sermon, Allan continues the “Serve with Honor” series with a message on being called to serve. Drawing from 1 Samuel 3, he reflects on Samuel’s early struggle to recognize God’s voice and the importance of spiritual discernment when discovering our gifts.
The lesson reminds us that every believer has been gifted by God, but those gifts are not meant to elevate self or satisfy ego. Instead, they are given to strengthen the body of Christ and advance God’s kingdom. Allan contrasts listening to the true voice of God with being misled by other voices, motivations, or personal ambition.
Using Scripture from 1 Samuel 3, Matthew 14, Romans 12, and Ephesians 2:10, the message emphasizes humility, spiritual maturity, and a renewed mind as essential foundations for serving well. God confirms His calling through His presence, His Word, and repeated affirmation over time.
The sermon closes with a challenge for both individuals and leaders to prayerfully seek discernment, remain open to God’s calling, and faithfully use their gifts to honor Him and bless others.
