Samuel: The Anointing Prophet(copy)

Are You Wondering About Your Gifts of Service?
“It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be
evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for
works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach
unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature,
attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”
(Ephesians 4:11-13)
Here are some principles for understanding your giftedness from God
1. Every Christian receives some gift(s) from God. None are excluded from giftedness (I Cor. 12:7)
2. Gifts from God are received when you are raised to life with Jesus at baptism (Romans 6:1-6).
3. Spiritual gifts can lie dormant and undiscovered for a long time, but they cannot be lost.
4. Spiritual gifts are not the same as the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22)
5. Spiritual gifts are not the same as natural talents. Many unbelievers have natural talents.
6. Spiritual gifts have a divine purpose – serve mankind and honor God.
