We honor and remember Retired Master Sgt. Jerry Sion Agee

On this Memorial Weekend, we honor and remember Retired Master Sgt. Jerry Sion Agee,

United States Air Force, went home to his Lord on May 16, 2025 at the age of 89 years old. Our beloved brother was married to his wife, Margaret Ann (Jenkins) for 63 years. They were humble servants at many congregations over their years of marriage. They served faithfully wherever they lived in the world, from Turkey to Okinawa Japan to many states in the USA.

Upon his retirement from the Air Force Jerry and Margaret settled on a farm in Nugent, Texas where Jerry enjoyed raising vegetables and tending his pecan, peach and pear orchards.

They were faithful members of the Nugent Church of Christ for 30 years where Jerry served as an elder and taught Bible classes for many years. During this time, Jerry also operated a respected home repair and remodeling business in Abilene, Texas for several years.

In 2006, Jerry and Margaret moved to Cedar Hill, Texas and became faithful members of the Cedar Hill Church of Christ. Jerry had a deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ and a joyful confidence in the grace of God. Jerry was a self-taught Biblical and church history scholar.

During the Memorial service for Jerry on Tuesday (5/20/25) many brothers from our congregation honored him for his wisdom, faithful discipleship, and great humility. Family members, friends, and acquaintances concurred with the extol of his spiritual qualities and godliness. Jerry Agee's conspicuous spots (in the foyer and fellowship room) will be empty, but our hearts will be filled with great memories of his remarkable influences and legacy.
