Fellowship comes from a Greek word that means "a sharing in common". It involved such things as the Lord’s Supper, contribution, worship, and working together. Fellowship in the Church means an association with God and with Christians. It means meeting each other’s needs – The Bible has many “one another” passages. Most of those passages speak of Christians helping one another with the needs and difficulties of their lives. It means working together – One of the most common biblical descriptions of fellowship is working together. The greatest fellowship is that of Christians working together for the cause of their Lord. That association may be in acts of worship or some other sort of service. Our 59’ers Ministry is a dynamic program for our seasoned members who meet regularly for meals, benevolent activities, Bible study and fellowship. Guest speakers are featured at the meetings discussing topical issues of interest for seniors. This socialization serves to help us be closer in our Christian family.
